The Shit Parade
The obvious thing to do is to now list the 5 bands who were the worst live..so in the words of Barry Norman, why not.
5) Shane McGowan at Guilfest. He was drunk before he got on stage. He got even drunker on stage and his guitar player had to whisper the words of the songs into his ear. Not funny just tragic,
4) Manic Street Preacher at Isle Of Wight Festival. They sounded just like their records, they didn’t move around or interact with the crowd. And I don’t like their records.
3) Big Fun at Wadebridge Scout Jubilee. No fun.
2) Blur at Reading Festival – Graham Coxon had been kicked out, Damon Albran (or whatever) was playing guitar. He can’t. And he fell off stage. Terrible, terrible, terrible.
1) Sex Pistols at The Phoenix Festival. They were there for the money. They told everyone that, and then they performed badly and changed the festivals atmosphere.
Again all just personal experience and opinions but would love to hear yours too.

3 Comments:
shit live bands goes like this,
5.rhcp. sounded bad did nt do a lot just a bit shit.
4.the zuttons. again sounded bad did nt have a clue what he was singing and every time the bass cut in thats all you could hear.
3.the kings of leon, really good on cd, not so good live.
2.deep purple.when you get to that age, just give up.
1. super fury ainamals. the wost gig ever, they only did half an hour, but there was only about 25 poeple there.
RHCP were in the top 10, I saw them at Hyde park and they sounded bad, maybe it was just too big a venue.
Well Ive only got three bad experiences
The Beautiful South were shocking, the quality of singing was great but i felt like i was listening to a cd, no interaction with the audience, and they used music stands with the song lyrics on.. how sad. The fact that the lead singer spent all night with a can of Skol in his hand might make you think he had killed all his brain cells and has no memory!
U2 Zooropa tour at Wembley. Over 70,000 fans all waiting for a great performance and all we got was distorted rubbish, couldnt hear a word they were singing.
And finally the lovely Seth Lakeman. Yes he might be sexy and scary when he sings but oh I wish I knew what he was singing about, he eats the microphone! The best bit is him demolishing his bow on his guitar with no strings left by the end of Kitty Jay song. Byeee
