I can't believe how quickly time can fly by in some instances. Take for example April. It has flown by and we are almost half way through it. I arrived here last April and again I can't believe I have been here a year.

Yet in other instances time can drag on, like waiting in a line to get a passport for your daughter. Yes today we had the pleasure of getting Ellie a passport, so that we can visit the UK in the summer. Her passport is going to be valid for 5 years. Surely her picture will not look anything like her by then? So why make her have a passport at all? Also although they say they will get the passport to us in 8 weeks the room in which we were waiting today had loads of posters saying it was now taking 12 weeks and they strongly recommended that you pay the extra money to expediate your application so that it will be rushed through in 6 weeks. This is a self defeating policy as more and more people will pay the extra money to get their passport done quickly which will lead to the expediated applications taking longer as there are more of them.

So our application is in and we should have the passport back in 10 weeks which is good as we are flying to Heathrow in 13 weeks.

Passport ariving only three weeks before coming to the UK? That's cutting it a bit close! What if she has to stay home and miss her first Tinners gig!!!! Poor girl. Fingers crossed the good people at the PP office have heard of us and know how important it is she get here. Looking at her face on the T-shirt photo she's already experienced Ian's blues jam! C ya, Pete.
