It’s been a while so I thought I should update this blog. Samantha May was born on 12th April 2008. She weighed 7lbs 13 oz and was 13 inches long. The labour took 3 hours.

Jen had seen her doctor on the Wednesday before and the doctor had arranged for Jen to go in Saturday 12th April to the hospital to have her waters broken. 5.30am on the Saturday morning we got a call from the hospital telling us not to come in as they were short staffed. We went out for breakfast, Jen went clothes shopping for Emma, and then at 1pm we got a call from the hospital saying they could fit us in if we got there by 3pm. We packed up the car and went down to the hospital. We got there, they broke Jen’s waters at 3pm. Jen started having heavy contractions by 5pm and at 6.22pm Samantha came into this world.

So far everything is going well. Ellie was a bit upset at 1st, she ignored Jen and Sammy in the hospital, but once we brought Samantha home she has been cuddling her and saying “hi” to her the whole time.
