It's been a Dell of a day
The US and the UK have different Mothering Sunday, which caused me to get into a lot of trouble with my mother when I missed the UK’s. The US had theirs this Sunday passed, so I redeemed myself by sending flowers to her.
We had an interesting day here; we went to breakfast and then Jen spent the rest of the day shouting at Dell’s desktop support. You see we bought a new computer which has the all singing and dancing Window’s Vista on it. However, Window’s vista isn’t compatible with our MP3 players. My understanding is that this affects all MP3 players in some way, but out MP# player is Dell. So Dell has supplied a PC that they knew would not support out Dell software. Upon calling the desktop support we got given an answer to install a new driver. When this didn’t work we called back and were told that we shouldn’t have installed that driver, that we should take it off, and the 3rd time we called we had to have the system reset as updating the drivers had messed up the whole computer.
A lovely, relaxing Mothering Sunday for Jen.

Are Dell and BT the same company after all? Sounds like they share their customer service philosophy...
